I don’t know what it is, but I really don’t like celebrity endorsed products. There’s no logic to it, I’m just less likely to purchase something if it has a smiley celebrity on the front of its packaging. However, with a limited choice of Nail Wraps at my local Boots, I decided to give Myleene’s wraps a try.
If NCLA were my all time faves and Nail Rock were the polar opposite, Myleene’s Nails (doesn’t that make it sound a bit like a local salon?) are bang in the middle. They’re fairly easy to apply, although they’re a little thicker than the NCLA ones making it harder to ease out any of the creases so consequently I did have a few flaws on the edges.
The pack is generous and also comes with an additional sheet of clear stickers that you can apply over the wraps to make them even shinier (they’re pretty shiny anyway) and I’m guessing this extra layer would improve longevity.
I had a similar problem with these as I did with the Nail Rock ones as they were scratchy and caught on things and no amount of filing made any difference.
They lasted well and I liked the design, plus there are some good design choices available. I bought these for £5.99 from the JML stand at Boots. It’s safe to say that I’m still in love with nail wraps and will continue to try the various different brands until I find one that I love that doesn’t cost the earth.
