I finally got my hands on the Sleek Blush By 3 in Pink Lemonade (as originally posted about here) and I am pleased to say that it is every bit as fabulous as I expected it to be. As the name suggests, it’s a palette of three blush shades; the outer two shades are powders whilst the middle shade is a cream blush.
The shade on the far left is a shimmery, cool, pale/mid pink that builds from a sheer wash of colour to a seriously striking hit of pink. The shimmer is thankfully quite subtle – I feel the shimmer level is akin to that normally found in the shimmery Benefit powder boxes – so glitter haters can indulge. The middle shade, which is the cream shade, is a mid pink that again can be built-up to a strong hit of colour, or sheered out for a gentle flush. I love, love, LOVE this shade as it’s very flattering and easy to work with, and the finish is slightly sheeny which I much prefer to matte finish creams which can look awful unless you have perfectly prepared skin!
The final shade on the right is a rose gold with a slight hit of shimmer giving it a slightly coppery finish. It very much reminds me of a shade I have in a Nars palette, so I’m going to swatch them together and update you with a post on the comparison of the two soon. I am so impressed with the Blush By 3 palettes as I think they’re extremely good value for money, as you’re getting three good sized blushers in decent packaging (check out the mirrored compact) for £9.99 which I think you’d struggle to find elsewhere, especially considering the quality and colour range. For me, the left and middle shades are my favourites but the outer shade is also extremely pretty.
The Blush by 3 palette in Pink Lemonade is available now, both online from Sleek – link – and in store at Superdrug. Don’t forget there’s also another colour combination just launched – Californ.I.A. as well as the new iDivine palette; read my post on these launches here.
