Face Base Palettes

There are certain things that I think make anyone a bit obsessed with beauty coo, and palettes are definitely one of these things.  Palettes of any kind get me excited, but palettes that contain everything you need for a perfect base push me over the edge; the idea of a perfectly formed palette containing things like primers, foundations, concealers and  finishers totally get my beauty-brain whirring, so if you’re the same, check out these three beauties:

Benefit How to Look the Best at Everything
I think the one that’s been around the longest (although please do correct me if I’m wrong) is the Benefit How to Look the Best at Everything kit, which comes in three different shade collections (light, medium and deep) and each collection contains a mini Porefessional primer, a mini Oxygen Wow foundation, two shades of Boi-ing concealer, a mini Hello Flawless powder foundation and a brush to apply the powder, all beautifully presented in a book style box.  Gorgeous! It’s £25.50 here – linkPIN IT.

Bobbi Brown Face-Palette-Porcelain
The next is the online exclusive and limited edition Bobbi Brown Face Palette which seems to have arrived quite quietly, yet looks blimin’ awesome.  It’s a small square shaped palette that contains a foundation, a corrector, a concealer and a powder, so a taster of all the best bits from the Bobbi Brown base range.  There are six colour shades available and each palette is £34 here – linkPIN IT.

Last we have the bareMinerals Ready to Go set which comes in a zip-up wallet and is available in six variants.  This is the most expensive of the three, but also the most comprehensive as not only does it contain a concealer, foundation, a bronzer, a Touch-Up Veil and a Luminizer, it also comes with 2 face brushes, all of which sit neatly in the pouch making this a fabulous travel option.  It’s £39 here – link.

I really love these complexion palettes and I hope this is the start of a new trend that other brands get involved with.  Not only is this a great way to minimise your make-up for travel or just everyday touch-ups, it’s also a great and relatively inexpensive way to try a selection of products to get a feel for the brand before parting with your hard-earned cash on full-sized products.

I have to say the Benefit one appeals to me the most he and Benefit aren’t a brand I particularly love! If someone gave me that palette I would give them a second chance for sure (:
