New Salon Launch: Hare & Bone

Hare and Bone 3PIN IT

Last week I popped along to newly launched London salon, Hare & Bone, which is the first salon from successful stylist and all-round lovely guy, Sam Burnett.  The salon design is spot-on; it’s plush enough to fit in with its prime position on Great Titchfield Street – just a few minutes walk from the BBC Broadcasting House – but not so OTT that you feel uncomfortable.  It’s light, spacious and just a little bit industrial, making it hip (man do I feel ancient when I use the word “hip” as an adjective) yet inviting.

I’ve callously stolen some of the images in this post from the Hare & Bone Instagram feed which you can find here. I wasn’t able to stop and have a treatment on the press day, so I was instead invited back the following day to have a blow dry before I headed off to watch the awesome Nutracker with Clinique – quite a day!

My treatment was with Esther, a Senior Stylist who gave my hair a wash whilst I was seated in the luxurious massage chairs that were extremely comfortable.  I was also given a Kerastase treatment to give my hair a boost (the salon currently only use Kerastate and KMS – two fab brands, the latter of which Sam is the ambassador for) which was fantastic and something I’d really recommend getting if you’re having your hair done as it made my hair amazingly soft and shiny.  I was then given a quick trim to reduce some of my split ends before my hair was styled and set for my night out.  I was also given coffee and biscuits whilst my hair was done, making it all a very enjoyable experience and I really rate Esther for both her skills and her friendliness!

One thing I’m particularly excited about is the options available through the salon for those who can’t necessarily afford central London prices.  For example, The Breakfast Club option involves booking in for a cut-price blow dry between 8am and 10am for just £25.  There’s also a cheaper colour menu with options such as the Kissed Highlights for £50.  They also run a loyalty scheme (Hair Miles) although I’m not sure I fully understand how it works as the breakdown is a bit too complicated for me! Head over to their website to find out more and have a mooch around the gallery and prices here – link.
