Mask Monday: MasqueBar Anti-Wrinkle Sheet Mask

 

I’ve got really into sheet masks lately as I find them to be a really effective way of hydrating skin without flooding it.  Using a chemical exfoliator and following it with a sheet mask worked into the skin with my YOSO Pro device (review here) makes for a quick, easy and highly effective facial treat. Consequently, I’ve been raiding my mask stash to see what other sheet masks I have to try, and I came across the MasqueBar Anti-Wrinkle Sheet Mask, which is one of the four mask variants MasqueBar launched with last year, check out my intro piece here.

 

I’m sure you’re already familiar with the concept of sheet masks so I won’t go into too much detail, other than to say that it’s a pre-soaked cotton sheet that you apply to your face and leave for as long as possible.  Then when you’re done, you remove and rub in what’s left on your face.  It’s a very good of treating skin to a hit of moisture, so if you’re prone to dehydration of dryness then a sheet mask is a good choice.  The MasqueBar Anti-Wrinkle Sheet Mask is probably a better choice for those who aren’t too dry or overly sensitive as it isn’t massively hydrating, plus it’s perfumed which could aggravate sensitivities.  The product soaked onto the mask feels more like a serum than a moisture mask, which makes sense considering it’s designed to anti-age.  It does promise hydration too, which I’d say it gives lightly, so you will need to follow-up with a moisturiser post treatment.

 

I’m not blown away by this but I like it enough to use the remaining two in the pack.  If you’re oily or spot-prone then this is a good choice for your skin type as it’s light enough to balance without flooding skin with moisture.  Having tried the MasqueBar cream masks I think I prefer those, however, I do have their Brightening Sheet Mask to try so I’ll give that a whirl soon and let you know how I get on.  The MasqueBar Anti-Wrinkle Sheet Mask are £9.99 for 3 – great price, don’t you think?
