I’m so excited about this *amazing* upcoming QVC TSV (today’s special value) from Tarte as I don’t think Tarte have done a TSV before, so this one is a glorious collection of goodies that make for a very impressive introduction to the brand – all products are full-sized and absolutely lovely; as is rarely the case with these types of edits, there’s not a duff product in site and I would (and will!) use every single one!
The Tarte Best Face Forward Discovery Kit six products alongside a limited edition make-up bag. The products are:
Colored Clay CC Primer – this is available in five shades; fair, light, medium, tan and deep and I am horrendously excited to get this on my face ASAP.
Colored Clay Bronzer Blush in Pink Bronze – a beautiful compact containing various shades of subtle pink and bronze for a multi-dimensional effect.
LipSurgence Lip Creme in Vintage – a pretty, everyday pink.
Lights, Camera, Lashes 4in1 Mascara – I’m so pleased this is included as it’s one my all-time favourite mascaras.
Amazonian Clay Eyeshadow Quad – this is a limited edition palette containing four wearable nudes.
Double-Ended Complexion Brush – this is another limited edition product; Tarte base brushes are amazing so I have high hopes for this.
My delivery literally arrived a couple of hours ago, so I got everything snapped and up on the blog as I can barely contain my excitement; plus, now everything is photographed, it means I can get stuck in to all the products straight away! This is a lovely little edit that makes for a fantastic introduction to the brand, so if you’ve heard of Tarte but never tried anything, now is the time to rectify that, especially as this amazing set is going to be priced at less than £40. You get six full sized Tarte products and the bag to keep them in for £39.54 – INSANE!! It’s safe to say this is a set that will move very quickly, so set your calendar for the 1st June 2015 when the set goes live. Any idea what the shades of primer equate to? I’m assuming the colours will be quite rich. The blush bronzer looks lovely.
How do you mean? As in the three different colours within the primer itself (it’s a colour correcting primer so there’s skin colour plus green and lilac for reducing redness and sallowness) or the colours the primer is available in? I’m not sure about the latter unfortunately, but I have the lightest shade Fair and it’s absolutely spot-on for my very pale skin tone – I’m always the palest in everything and sit between N15-20 in the Mac scale. Hope that helps but let me know if not xx
Ah – I hadn’t realised it had green and lilac in it! I wear fairly light in Bare Minerals and Fair in Balance and Brighten, so wasn’t sure whether I would need fair or light. I used to always go for the lightest shade of any range, but although I’m fair skinned I wouldn’t say I was porcelain fair.
I must have this! It is already in the diary. Just hope I can match myself to the right shade for the CC primer (light or medium?!) since I won’t get my hands on it until I come back to London. I haven’t tried Tarte before, but I have only heard good things.
I reckon there’ll be swatches and comparisons online as I ‘think’ the product has been around for a little while, so well worth having a Google and seeing what it brights up. It’s an awesome kit and it will definitely fly off the shelves (so to speak) so definitely move quickly! xx
