Mask Monday: Merumaya Skin Brightening Exfoliating Peel
Now that Christmas in July is all over and done with, I can get back to normal and start posting my series again, starting with Mask Monday! Toda’y’s Mask Monday is a great one, the Merumaya Skin Brightening Exfoliating Peel, which is a fantastic product for anyone who prefers a chemical exfoliation to a manual one, but still wants to feel a big difference after use.
Now I’m a lot less prone to breakouts, I’m having a great time building a skincare routine that’s focusing mostly on brightening and hydrating. For the brightening aspect I’m trying to include plenty of products that contain AHAs to exfoliate my skin without leaving it scratched or raw, and the Merumaya Skin Brightening Exfoliating Peel is ideal for this. It’s gentle enough to be used fairly regularly – I’d say you could get away with 2-3 times a week – but it packs a real exfoliating punch; it tingles whilst on, and when removed, skin looks noticeably brighter and smoother. It’s a gel formula that goes on clear, so you can just bung it on and crack on with what you’re doing without fear of scaring neighbours or children, plus it starts working within 5 minutes, so it isn’t time-consuming and slots into a routine with ease. Lastly, it’s really well priced at £19.50, especially as you get 50ml and you don’t need a lot for each treatment, making this a very affordable and very effective exfoliating mask.
