Birchbox October 2015

This month is a great month for Birchbox subscribers, both old and new, as there’s a choice of two boxes, and both of them are rather fab.  The choices are either the Back to Basics Birchbox, the one I’m focusing on in this post, or the Stylist Guest Editor Birchbox, which I’ll post about shortly.

Out of the two Birchbox October 2015 boxes, this one is my favourite, as I really love everything included in the contents – the other box is great, but this box features products that will all get used.  Each box contains a full-size makeup item and this one contains two full-sized goodies.

Predictably, my favourite product in the Back to Basics Birchbox is the full-sized Seche Vite; literally an hour before the boxes were delivered, I made a start on a fresh bottle of this, so I made a note to pick up another bottle (I always keep a reserve!) ASAP, so I’m thrilled this was included! The next full-sized item Eyeko Fat Liquid Eyeliner in Black, which looks like the sort of product that will be quite easy to use, so I’ll give it a go soon.  Finally, both boxes contains a mini bottle of cult Micellar Bioderma H2O, with this box containing my personal favourite, the Hydrabio version.

I’ve heard nothing but great things about Regenerate Advanced Toothpaste – a product that helps repair tooth enamel – and I confess that I have a pack to try at home that I haven’t started on yet, but this little mini has encouraged me to make a start, so I will do tonight.  The final products are both from Beaver Professional, the first of which is the Hydro Nutritive Moisturizing Shampoo, plus there’s also a bonus sachet of the matching conditioner.  I absolutely hate it when either a shampoo or conditioner arrives in a box without it’s corresponding partner, as I think it’s really hard to review one without the other, so I’m glad these have arrived together. Existing Birchbox subscribers will have already chosen their box, but if you’re new to Birchbox, you can pick which you’d prefer when you order here for £12.95 all-in – link.
