Skinn Cosmetics is a top-selling International cosmetic brand that hasn’t really made it on to UK shores, even though the collection is vast and pretty impressive! It’s a brand that offers the full works, from make-up and skincare to gadgets, all of which are enticingly packaged and sound fabulous – obviously this means nothing if the products are rubbish, but first impressions are very positive!  Ideal World have just launched a few key products from Skinn; five skincare bits, a couple of make-up sets and one of the Hollywood Lip Palettes, as pictured here.  I was sent a few of the skincare and make-up bits, but I’m pretty nervous about adding new skincare to my routine that sounds like it might cause problems on my tricky skin – usually anything designed to anti-age can break me out – so I won’t be following up with a review of the skincare, but I will give you a bit more info:

The three items above are the Skinn Eye Stem Rejen Serum Elite (the smaller pink bottle), Skinn Stem Rejen Facial Serum Elite (taller pink bottle) and Skinn 24 Hour Youth Preservation Cream Elite (tub).  The Stem Regen products make use of three main ingredients; Glacier Water, Snow Algae Powder and Alpine Rose.  Interestingly, the lead ingredient in the 24 Hour Youth Preservation Cream is Salicylic Acid to aid exfoliation, which kind of makes me want to try it since my skin responds really well to SA, but I’m trying to be good and wait for my skin to fully adapt to new products before trying anything new.

The make-up items are, for me, a lot more exciting as the colours, packaging and overall vibe of the range is definitely doing it for me.  The three products I have are the Hollywood Lip Palette in Nude, the Luxe Premier Eyeshadow Collection in Rosette and the Ultra Luxe Mascara in Ultra Black.  I really like the colours in the Hollywood Lip Palette as they’re pretty nudes rather than anything too brown or too dark – they’re definitely the sort of nude I’d go for! The eyeshadow palette also contains a great selection of colours, and I really like the fact that both palettes contain two applicators as so often, with these sort of palettes, you end up with one applicator for loads of colours which makes no sense! The price point is mid, with everything available on Ideal World so far sitting between £10 and £30.  I hope they add some of the more interesting skincare products – like some of the cleansers and oils – soon!
