Mask Monday: Tata Harper Clarifying Mask

Tata Harper Clarifying Mask Review

I’ve heard such amazing things about Tata Harper that I couldn’t wait to get my hands on some of her fabulous skincare (I also have the Purifying Cleanser – more on that in another post) so literally as soon as the products arrived, I got them snapped and ready to use, starting with the mask. The Tata Harper Clarifying Mask is a relatively new addition to the range and is designed to sooth and clear blemishes and redness in a non-drying formula packed full of skin-loving goodies.  It comes in a 30ml pot that looks absolutely tiny when you remove from the box – but it’s a very fluid product that spreads across the skin well, so you should still be able to get a good few uses out of a single pot.

The Tata Harper Clarifying Mask contains so many lovely inclusions such as chlorella (a powerful ingredient that gives the mask it’s strong green colour), soothing ingredients such as Sandalwood Seed Oil, Apple Seed Oil, raw honey and lavender floral water which work alongside the wealth of chemical and manual exfoliators.  There’s a trio of spot-fighting salicylic acid (from willow bark, Wintergreen and Meadowsweet) and additional acids come from a superfruit blend of sugar cane, orange, lemon and sugar maple. Finally, the manual exfoliation comes from Quartz Sand, which is very fine and gently buffs skin without feeling too scratchy or irritating.  All these lovely ingredients provide a mask that is hard-working and leaves skin looking and feeling considerably smoother, calmer and generally in better condition than it was to start with.  I use this is in the bath and tend to apply just enough so skin looks green (the instructions suggest applying a thick layer – I think if you did that you’d use the lot in one go!) which I leave on for around 20 minutes. The Tata Harper Clarifying Mask is the perfect product if you’re breaking out or breakout-prone, and would like something that will sooth and effectively treat breakouts and inflammation, without creating any additional issues such as dryness or sensitivity.  You can purchase it from Space NK (in-store and online) or it can be found at Cult Beauty for £68 here – link.
