A Trio of Launches from OPI (Christmas, Lisbon and Chrome Powders)

Love OPI, XOXO Christmas Collection

I popped along to an OPI event last week to see all of the lovely newness coming our way in the next few months.  The Love OPI, XOXO collection is the Christmas launch from OPI, containing 12 festive shades with literally something for everyone, featuring a variety of formulas, finishes and colours.  I won’t go into too much detail as I’ve got a Christmas nails post going live next week that includes swatches of all twelve shades, but as the collection has been out for a while, you can find detailed swatches online too.

OPI Lisbon Collection

The next limited edition collection from OPI will be the beautiful Lisbon Collection for Spring 2018.  This is a brighter, lighter collection that’s perfectly suited for the sunnier months, with lots of warm, fruity shades inspired by the lively streets of Lisbon, Portugal. There are some really good shades in this collection (especially for Summer Holiday Pedicures!) with particularly lovely takes on pink.  The OPI Lisbon Collection collection launches in February 2018, and it can’t come quickly enough!

OPI Chrome Effect

I don’t think you can follow an Instagram nail account without seeing at least one chrome look, but just in case you’re unfamiliar, it basically involves working a very fine chrome powder into nails and buffing it in until it adds a new dimension to the colour underneath, resulting in a holographic/petrol effect that looks stunning and very striking.  OPI have created their Chrome Effect Powders in eight gorgeous shades: Mixed Metals for that original multifaceted chrome finish; Pay Me in Rubies – a deep red; Tin Man Can – gunmetal grey; Bronzed by the Sun – deep bronze; Blue Plate Special – a gorgeous petrol blue; Amethyst Made the Short List – vampy purple; Gold Digger – murky gold; Great Copper-tunity – deep, rusty copper.  This is a salon-only service that rolled out last month, so head to your nearest OPI salon to try out the service using one of the above shades.
