Foundation Files: Delilah Time Frame Future Resist Foundation

Whilst the majority of this Foundation Files post is on the Delilah Time Frame Future Resist Foundation, I tried it alongside two other Delilah products; the Farewell Cream Concealer and the Under Wear Future Resist Foundation Primer.  Consequently this a tale of three products; one amazing, one pretty decent and one that didn’t work for my skin at all.

I started off trying all three products together, which worked really well at first, but after a few hours my skin started feeling really dry and tight, and looking really crepey, with my fine lines and signs of dehydration becoming really, unflattering obvious.  I have tried the Farewell Cream Concealer previously without such issues, so I knew it wasn’t that, therefore it had to be either the foundation or the primer.

Turns out, it was the Delilah Under Wear Future Resist Foundation Primer, which just didn’t suit my skin at all.  I think it’s worth pointing out that other reviews of this are very positive, so clearly it’s just something my skin struggles with.  It felt almost like a clay product after a few hours of wear, in that it seemed to be keeping oil at bay, so a great choice for anyone who’s prone to excessive shine and oiliness, but as someone who can look dry very quickly, it didn’t work for me.  If you’re oily or fancy giving it a go, find it here – link – for £34.

The Delilah Time Frame Future Resist Foundation is a lovely, lightweight, medium coverage (or light but buildable to medium) foundation that blends really well, looks natural and feels good on the skin.  I have the shade Buttermilk which is the second to lightest shade and actually a pretty good match for me.  It’s more yellow than I’d like, but as the yellow does a good job of cancelling out the redness in my skin, I need less product, so I can achieve a very natural looking finish.  The foundation is here – link – for £34.

The final product is the amazing Farewell Cream Concealer, which is one of those perfect products that everyone needs in their kit – I used this years ago and it’s still every bit as good as I remember.  It’s a crayon-style concealer, which can often result in a product that’s quite dry and hard to work in, but this one is lovely and creamy; it glides over the skin like a moisturiser, whilst providing a really good level of coverage – not quite full, but not far off, meaning you can use it under the eyes and on blemishes too.  It’s lovely and I highly recommend, I use shade Linen which is perfect for me.  It’s £24 here – link.
