Amazing Vitamin C Serums for all Skin Types

*PR Samples/Gifted/Aff. Links*

My skin has come along so much over the past 6 months or so, and it has an actual glow to it, even when make-up free, which I believe is heavily due to my committed use of a good quality Vitamin C Serum each morning. With that in mind, I thought I’d put together a list of the ones I’ve tried and actually liked (I’ve tried loads, but these are definitely the winners!) so if you fancy adding this wonder antioxidant to your routine, here are some great choices so start with.

Omorovicza Daily Vitamin C Review

If you have tricky skin…

The Omorovicza Daily Vitamin C is like a powerhouse of vitamin joy and skin nutrition  alongside the expected Vitamin C, with goodies such as Zinc and Niacinamide to reduce pigmentation and help with clearing spots, plus Hyaluronic Acid to plump and hydrate.  I really like the fact that this provides a multitude of benefits that work in harmony with the Vitamin C to really improve skin tone and clarity, and the fact that it’s especially well suited to spot-prone skin types is an added bonus.

Clinique Fresh Pressed Daily Booster with Pure Vitamin C Review

If your skin is oily…

I love the presentation of the Clinique Fresh Pressed Daily Booster with Pure Vitamin C 10% as it really does feel like it’s as fresh as you can get – you have to do your own bit of (very minimal) preparation to get the product ready to use, then once complete, you can work your way through the bottle.  It comes in several bottles rather than one big bottle to help preserve the freshness of the notoriously tricky Vitamin C.  I really like this as it feels like a powerful option for working that Vit C magic, but I also found it a little drying – not at first, but as the day went on, meaning it isn’t well-suited to my skin type, but would be a great choice for oily and combination types.

It's Skin VC Serum Review

If you want to ease yourself in…

I was so impressed with the It’s Skin Power 10 VC Serum, which is a wonderfully light and watery serum that sinks in immediately and blends perfectly with other skincare.  It’s definitely on the weaker side of the Vitamin C spectrum, but that’s no bad thing; if you’re sensitive or just want to dip your toe in the world of the elusive Vitamin C Glow, this is a great place to start.

Skin Design London C Antioxidant Glow Serum

If you want that glow, FAST…

The Skin Design London C Antioxidant Glow Serum is a lightweight yet surprisingly powerful serum that’ll slot happily into your morning routine (no waiting around for it to absorb) whilst providing almost instantaneous glow.  It’s packed full of various types of Vitamin C alongside peptides and a variety of free-radical-mopping antioxidants, that all come together to create a really hard-working serum – a great choice for anyone who’s a bit lazy with their routine and needs something to do it all in one hit!

No BS VItamin CE Serum

If your skin needs moisture and a light touch…

The No BS Vitamin C+E Serum feels lovely and hydrating on the skin and doesn’t sting at all on application, making it a lovely choice for those who have skin prone to dryness and sensitivity, especially as it contains Vitamin E – I love Vitamin E for soothing my skin when it feels tight or overly sensitised, so this is a wonderful choice for anyone with skin that can easily reactive to actives.

Obagi Professional C Serum 15%

If your skin is just like mine…

I’ve had a long-term battle finding balance for my skin, and my love for Obagi products is well-documented, with the Obagi Professional C Serum 15% being up there in my top three.  This is my perfect serum as it’s really hard-working, provides glow immediately, works away at my pigmentation throughout the day whilst complimenting my night time routine.  I love the way this looks, feels and smells and I also think it’s great that there is both a lower and higher percentage (although I can’t vouch for them as I haven’t tried either) to help you find your perfect match.

Thanks so much Lauren! I know what you mean – I hate that gritty feeling and I always feel like it’s going to look lumpy under my makeup! I haven’t actually tried any of The Ordinary but I’ve heard fairly good things. I also have’t tried the Vit C products from The Body Shop, but as a whole I do really like their skincare range (particularly their Vitamin E and Aloe collections) so I would hope the Vit C products would be good too. I definitely recommend adding a bit of Vit C to your routine though, it really is a game-changer in terms of glow! xx
