Beauty Haul – February 2019

Beauty Haul Feb 2019PIN IT

I think I’ve mentioned before that I tend to visit the Primark in the Harlequin in Watford as I love visiting that whole shopping area, especially since they extended it and it now has a Debenhams, with all the joyful beauty counters that come with.  Every time I go, I have a little beauty binge session at Primark, mainly because they have such a huge range and it’s really interesting to have a nose around! I also popped to Debenhams and picked up a couple of sale buys too.

The first couple of bits I bought from Primark were the Ps…My Perfect Colour Glow Foundation in the lightest shade (£6) and the Ps…Take It Off Nail Polish Remover Pot (£2).  First impressions of the foundation are really positive – it feels lightweight and provides a gentle glow, I may feature it in my Foundation Files series soon.  The polish pot was a bit of a random buy as I haven’t had normal polish on my fingers for quite a while – I tend to dip in and out of favouring gels over traditional polish, so eventually that’ll no doubt dip back towards normal polish again and I’ll get to use the remover.

My favourite make-up sponge is one by Sport Fx, and it has a kind of latex-like feel to it, so when I saw these Primark sponges seemed to have a similar feel, I thought I’d snap them up and see if they’re any good.  I also love the bright colours, although I’m slightly nervous that the colour will bleed as two of the sponges were stuck together and the colour from each sponge had bled onto the other, so we shall see…

The PS…3-in-1 Brow Precision Pencil and Powder were too interesting to pass-up, especially as the shades look really good – I went for shades Brown and Tobacco as they both look really ashy.  I actually bought these, photographed them and then completely forgot about them, so I need to give them a go as they look like they could be really good!

They’re very well designed, with a spoolie at one end and a pencil at the other, then the middle unscrews to reveal another section that houses a small tube of powder and the applicator.  I did also note that they had a really good shade selection, but unfortunately I can’t remember how much they were, although I would guess no more than £3.

The two big sale buys from Debenhams came from Kat Von D and MUFE.  The Kat Von D Everlasting Liquid Lipstick in shade Beloved was a really good price, I think it was around the £9 mark, so a big bargain that I was very happy to get.  The MUFE Full Coverage Extreme Camouflage Cream was also another really good buy, I think it was £15 ish too.  I was also given a great selection of samples with my purchases as you can see – such a great lot of goodies that made the shopping trip really worthwhile! I also note that Debenhams have got a pretty decent sale on with both of the above brands included – head here to find out more.
