Boxing Day Beauty Buys

Boxing Day Beauty Buys

Happy New Year, everybody! I hope your 2020 is treating you wonderfully so far.  I’m slightly horrified that we’re a third of the way through the month and this is my first post, but there you go.  There was a time when I would spend literally hundreds of my hard-earned, credit-card-funded cash on the Boxing Day sales, but over the years I’ve become a lot more selective and buy based on need rather than want…sort of…not sure who I’m convincing here but it sounds sensible, doesn’t it? I treated myself to three main things this year, so here they are:

Boxing Day Beauty Buys

First up, my usual purchase of the awesome Lancome Hypnose Classic Mascara Gift Set (usually around £25-26 but currently on sale at £17) is becoming an annual tradition; I don’t think anyone makes a better mascara than Lancome, plus I also believe that a smaller mascara is a more sensible choice because I almost never use-up a full-sized mascara before it becomes too dry, so this set of what is basically a six month supply of the very best mascaras for me is pretty much my bargain of the year – next year I shall get two! It’s still available at a few stores; I’ve found it at Harrods here – link.

I got my mascara set from Look Fantastic, alongside the By Terry Hyaluronic Hydra Powder (currently £42, sale price was £33.60) which is something I’ve been so close to buying for almost all of 2019 because all I hear are rave reviews, and I need a setting powder in my life that doesn’t highlight my dry patches, especially right now whilst I’m upping my retinol percentage.  I will review this bad boy soon, but I was so happy to find it in the sale!

Finally, the Neom Create Calm in the Chaos set was a real treat (originally £69, currently in the sale for £34) and is one of those sets that feels like a true bit of decadence; the set contains a bath foam, hand cream and candle that are all part of the ‘de-stress’ range and honestly, they are just so dreamy – two things that really help me chill out are gorgeously scented candles and beautifully inviting bath foams, so this really was a set with my name written all over it.

There we have my cheeky little treats! Did you get anything good in the sales?

I actually haven’t bought anything in the sales, surprisingly! That Neom set has caught my eye though! Happy New Year! x
