NOTD: Boots No7 Pink Blossom

As promised, here's a NOTD featuring Boots No7 Pink Blossom from their newly launched Spring collection, more of which you can read about in my intro post here. Pink Blossom is a lovely shade of pink that stays on the safe side of baby pink, so it isn't too girly or sweet, rather it's a happy medium between baby pink and rose pink.  It's a very easy to wear shade as it's quite muted and almost leans a little nude in certain lights. I'[...]

Boots No7 Spring 2014 Launches

Boots No7 are the brand you can depend on for traditionally seasonal releases that don't push the boundaries, but also won't have you questioning yourself when you buy them.  They're also never guilty of bombarding you with products, and instead release a few key additions that you can work into your current kit easily and without spending a fortune. I'm probably the last person to cotton on to this, but it seems No7 release a Limited/Spec[...]

Illamasqua Glamore Satin Finish Lipsticks in Luster and Soaked

Illamasqua's latest release sees the arrival of a new lipstick formula for the brand, satin finish.  This will no doubt evoke cries of joy from those of us with lips that just don't bond well with matte finishes as the satin finish is a lot kinder to far-from-perfect lips, both texturally and aesthetically.  I'm hoping this is a sign of things to come as Illamasqua have created some of my absolute favourite lipstick shades, yet I'm quite limited on[...]

Models Own HyperGels in Cornflower Gleam, Lilac Sheen and Pink Veneer

Add Cerise Shine to the group and here we have my absolute favourite shades from the new Models Own HyperGels, as initially posted about here.  The three shades I was sent are Cornflower Gleam, Lilac Sheen and Pink Veneer.  I'm sure all the shades are pretty self-explanatory, but for the sake of clarity, Cornflower Gleam is the mid-tone sky blue, Lilac Sheen is the pale purple and Pink Veneer is the true baby pink. I had these applied dur[...]

Sisley Phyto-Lip Twists in Baby, Peach and Pinky

Just when I was suffering from major "Chubby Fatigue" thanks to the huge onslaught of pencil-style lipsticks, here comes Sisley's offering to get me all hot and bothered again.  The Sisley Phyto-Lip Twists jumps into top position for Chubby products for me, as they delivers flawlessly on every aspect and are everything a chubby lip should be! You get plenty of colour that's buildable from sheer to extremely pigmented (my 'on the lips' pict[...]

JN Beauty Plum Crazy Eyeshadow Palette

JN Beauty are a small British brand of make-up, of which I was recently sent a few items.  My favourite is this fabulous five-pan eyeshadow palette in Plum Crazy - one of four different shade variants with the others being Diamonds Darling (greys), Green Eyed Lady (spring shades of emerald and lilac) and Stars in Your Eyes which are brown/bronze shades. I was extremely happy to receive the Plum Crazy palette as I absolutely love plum shades, s[...]

Sleek Make-Up Blush By 3 in Pink Lemonade

I finally got my hands on the Sleek Blush By 3 in Pink Lemonade (as originally posted about here) and I am pleased to say that it is every bit as fabulous as I expected it to be.  As the name suggests, it's a palette of three blush shades; the outer two shades are powders whilst the middle shade is a cream blush. The shade on the far left is a shimmery, cool, pale/mid pink that builds from a sheer wash of colour to a seriously striking hit[...]

NOTD: Nars Guy Bourdin Union Libre

Everyone is going a bit loopy for the Guy Bourdin inspired collection from Nars and quite rightly too, as it's a gorgeous edit of stunning shades to brighten the dullest of winter days...and nothing embodies that impact more than this polish shade.  Nars Union Libre is a limited edition shade (sadly) of a beautiful, floral pink which is described as Blossom Pink. Blossom Pink is quite accurate; it's a blue-toned fuchsia that's fantasticall[...]

Sisley Phyto-Ombre Glow Shadows in Silver, Pearl, Gold and Amber

In 2013, Sisley launched a small collection of metallic shadows as an extension of their Phyto-Ombre Eclat range called Phyto-Ombre Glow, which is available in four shades: Silver, Pearl, Gold and Amber.  This small but perfectly formed collection is a dream come true for anyone who loves their neutrals but fancies jazzing them up a bit, as these beautiful shades offer both the glamour of highly-pigmented and shimmery shadows with the ease of neutral[...]

Urban Decay Shattered Face Case

Urban Decay are one of those brands that looks at current beauty trends and figures out ways to make them more enticing and wearable for everyday people like me, whilst still maintaining a level of excitement without compromising on the fashion element.  This is why the brand continues to be ahead of the game and extremely popular, and their Shattered Face Case is a fantastic example of all of the above. All you need is base and mascara as[...]

Stila All You Need is Love Palette

I ended up taking a lot longer to review this palette than planned, even though it's become a bit of a staple, due to the fact that after the first few uses it completely changed its finish, which meant I had to take new pictures to give a fair review.  Sounds strange, but let me explain! Firstly, let me introduce you to the beauty that is the Stila All You Need is Love Palette, a quad of beautiful pink blush shades with a gold overspray.[...]
