I’m not usually one for getting excited about beauty box packaging, but how gorgeous is the purse that the products arrived in for the Birchbox December 2015 delivery? SO much pretty! The December 2015 Birchbox is going to be an interesting one for subscribers, as you’re getting quite a bit, but the majority are sample-sized.
I kind of get the vibe of the box, as it’s like all the bits and bobs you might need for the festive season in travel-friendly sizes, but I know a lot of people get miffed at too many sample-sized products, so we shall see. The Birchbox December 2015 contents includes seven products in total, with one full-sized, two very large samples and four dinky-sized samples.
First let’s look at the sample-sized samples, starting with the Benefit duo which came in a very cute little box (see above) which contained a small Puff Off! sample and the world’s cutest eyeliner sample, They’re Real Push-Up Liner. The liner will last quite a while, but I fear the Puff Off! sample will get used up pretty quickly. It’s still a useful way to try before you buy though. Next is the Style de Paris EDP sample by Catherine Malandrino, which is an extra in the box rather than one of the main attractions. Finally, there’s the rather small tube of Embryolisse Lait-Creme Concentre which has developed a bit of a cult-status for being a product a lot of celebs like to use. I’ve heard this can cause pretty terrible breakouts, so I’m avoiding it to err on the side of caution!
Next up are the larger items, starting with the Rituals T’ai Chi Foaming Shower Gel which comes in a good-sized 50ml bottle, which is large enough to provide plenty of use, but small enough for taking out and about. Next is the mini Ciate London Paint Pot which I got in Fit for a Queen, although there are various shades being sent-out in the boxes. This is a mini, but a very good sized one, and to be honest I don’t think I’ve ever finished a whole bottle of polish before it turned, so I’m okay with a mini. Saving the best ’til last, we have the full-sized ModelCo Ultra Long-Lasting Lipstick in the deep red Smitten shade. I’m not overly excited by the December 2015 Birchbox as there’s nothing here that’s got me gasping to break open and try. I do love the purse it came in though! That’s a tricky one as they can vary so much each month. Between Glossybox and Birchbox, I’d say Glossybox are a bit more reliable on a monthly basis, but when Birchbox do a good box, it really is quite something!
