Full contents of September box.

It’s here!! And it’s also very exciting as this month’s products are right up my street. It’s literally only just arrived so I haven’t had a chance to fully sample the products yet, but the box contained:

Tropic Skincare Body Smooth
Tropic Skincare Body Smooth and Colbert MD Nourish Eye Cream

This appears to be a product similar to Crabtree and Evelyn’s La Source Hand Recovery as according to the directions, you are to apply it to dry hands, rub for 20 seconds and rinse. I’m really excited to try this as I love Hand Recovery as it makes such a difference to the overall texture of the skin on my hands. The full price for this is £19.95 for 200ml but I’m not sure how large the sample included is, however I’d guess at around 50ml.

Colbert MD Nourish: Eye Cream
This sample I’m particularly excited about as I’m always on the look out for a good eye cream. According to the leaflet, Colbert MD is a brand that is favoured by Kate Middleton and Sienna Miller, and this product is intended to rehydrate the eye area whilst reducing puffiness and dark circles. It retails at £90 for 15ml and the sample I would guess is at about 5ml.
Agent Provocateur L’Agent Perfume

This has a very strong and sexy smell and includes lots of notes that I love (like Ylang Ylang and Sandlewood). I’m looking forward to wearing it out and about to see what others think, once I’m 100% confident wasp season is over! This retails at £50 for 50ml and my sample is 1.5ml.

Cargo Cosmetics Boogie Nights Eye Pencil
I received the purple version of this. It’s sparkly without being too OTT and I tried to do a quick swatch, but it looked a bit rubbish so I’ll try again when I’ve got more time. I think this pencil is full-size as it features in a set of five pencils which retail at £13.

Macadamia Hair Repair
Macadamia Hair Repair and Zoya Nail Polish in Tao

This is an oil treatment suitable for all hair types. Since the hugely successful launch of Moroccanoil, all sorts of alternatives have appeared on the market, a few of which I’ve tried but I’ve yet to find something that rivals the original. The instructions for this are a little confusing as I’m not sure whether it’s suggesting that the product is a leave-in product, an overnight treatment product/deep conditioner or both. However, I’m definitely excited to try it and see how it fairs against Moroccanoil. The 10ml bottle included in the box retails at £5.75 and I’m hopeful it’s good as the small bottles of Moroccanoil last for ages, so if this is the same then it’ll work out much cheaper.

Zoya Nail Polish
The shade contained in my box is Tao which is a metallic grey as featured in Zoya’s Smoke and Mirrors collection. This isn’t normally a colour I’d try (I’m usually all about pinks) but I really like the colour so I will be trying it out over the weekend. This retails at £9.98 a bottle and I’d guess the sample to be about half a bottle.
So there you have it. My quick estimation of the value of the samples comes in at approximately £50 (considering the high price of the Colbert MD eye cream), however the box itself cost me £10. Another addition to the box that isn’t mentioned in the leaflet is Mai Couture Blot and Bronze which is a blotting paper that also has bronzer in it. To me this sounds absolutely fantastic and I can’t wait to give it a go.
I’ll be back with more substantial reviews once I’ve had a chance to use the products, but I’m really happy with this months offering!
