I’ve had the privilege of trying a few Savar items lately and for me, one of the stand out products is the Savar Wonder Lift Eye Cream. As with my continual search for better mascaras, the same applies to eye creams and I like to find ones that are moisturising yet light and can be used as both an intensive treatment in the evening and a light under make-up moisturiser in the day. I’m really happy with this cream as it’s so incredibly light and fluid, yet it really moisturises my entire eye area. It’s even light enough to use all over the upper eye lid (when used this way, a lot of creams have given me puffy eyes because they end up feeling overloaded with product) and during application it feels like a very deep moisturiser, yet within minutes it’s completely absorbed, resulting in a plump and dewy base for make-up. Interestingly, the same applies for the Savar Moisturisers, but I’ll elaborate on that in a future review.
The product is generously sized and housed in sleek and easy to use packaging. I had a minor issue with the pump dispenser pumping out too much product, but as there is so much in the bottle you can use any excess as an all over facial moisturiser (it’s light and moisturising enough even for my oily/combination skin) or if you prefer you can use the rest as a neck cream. What you can also do is unscrew the lid and take a little from the bottle instead, however this is based on the fact that I use eye cream sparingly on my eyes and a little really does go a long way with this cream.
Consistency wise, it’s kind of a blend between a cream, a lotion and a gel. On application it feels like a cooling cream, but it’s fluid enough to be perceived as a lotion. I rarely find eye creams that I not only like and don’t irritate my eyes, but also that I can use both day and night, so I’m definitely going to continue using this and I’m really pleased to have found it.
