I decided to start experimenting tonight and I thought it would look quite nice to have a full nail in one colour, with a diagonal section painted a brighter version of the colour.
I applied two coats of OPI in Pink Friday and let them dry thoroughly. I then used a straight nail tip guide – basically a small length of adhesive – which I placed diagonally across the nail. I painted the outer edge of each nail with Rimmel Funtime Fuschia and let that dry thoroughly before removing the nail sticker.
Unfortunately, when I removed the sticker, a few patches of Pink Friday came off with it, so I filled in the patches before applying a top coat. I think the top coat was necessary because the stickers made Pink Friday look a little matte which contrasted (but not in a good way) against the glossiness of Funtime Fuschia.
So there we have it, my two-toned pink nails that will carry me through the weekend.
I would never think of creating such nail art on my nails! Where did you purchase the adhesive? I may have to try this at home 🙂

I purchased them on eBay but I’m in two minds as to whether recommend them or not! I might do a post on the pros and cons, but I need to do a bit of experimenting first 🙂 I like the fact that they come in all sorts of patterns and are really cheap too! xx
