This is another product given to me by the lovely Mrs BBB, however, unlike the Eve Lom Cleanser I reviewed here, this is something that had never previously entered my radar but I’m so pleased it did as it really is lovely.
It’s a fairly rich day cream that soaks in quickly and leaves skin feeling well moisturised without a greasy or shiny finish. It’s fantastic for when my skin is doing it’s weird dry yet spot prone thing that it just loves to do, as it feels moisturising enough to comfortably treat dry patches, yet doesn’t feel like it aggravates my spots. It’s a great base for make-up if you haven’t time to prime and it leaves skin looking slightly matte without looking dull.
The packaging is easy to work with and the pump-action hasn’t blocked yet, even though it’s that funnel-style pump that I often find is prone to clogging. You only need a very small amount to cover the whole face and it sinks in seriously quickly.
This was my first introduction to REN skincare – I’ve used their body range before – and loved it – but for some reason I never considered trying anything from their skincare line, so as introductions go this one was very successful!
If you’re prone to slightly crazy skin as I am, then this is definitely a cream worth looking into. I’d say this is best for oily/sensitive/combination skins as I don’t think this would be moisturising enough for dryer skin types.
You can purchase the REN Hydra-Calm Global Protection Day Cream here for £27 for 50ml.
I wish it was available in India:(
Oh rubbish, is it not available there? That’s a real shame 🙁 xx
