I’d actually forgotten just how much I love Clinique’s Chubby Sticks. I’m sure you’re familiar with the range, but just in case you’re not, these lipstick/lipbalm hybrids are fantastic for hydrating and universally flattering colour in a very convenient stick applicator.
Last week I bought two more, making my collection total five. I have various pinks and reds but Curvy Candy is happily my absolute favourite as it’s a perfect ‘my lips, but better’ shade. I have lips with a very strong red pigment. Annoyingly this doesn’t mean they look particularly red unless I try to put any other colour over them, then whatever colour I choose becomes heavily red tinged. It’s very annoying! Curvy Candy does just enough to cancel out the red making my lips look like a naturally warm pink shade.

Chubby Sticks can be applied lightly for a hint of colour or built-up for more payoff. Curvy Candy is a very neutral pink that doesn’t really lean either way, but man alive is it flattering. I love colours that immediately lift your face and this shade really does that for me. So if you’re pale with fairly neutral colourings then this shade needs to be in your collection!
