NOTD: Pink and Girly

I’ve been playing around with all sorts of different colours and styles on my nails lately, so last week I decided to go for something a bit more traditional.  I went out on Friday and I fancied indulging in something really feminine, and you can’t get more feminine than pink and glitter really can you?

I love having an accent nail, so for this NOTD I used 2 coats of OPI Pink Friday, then for the accents I used 3 coats of Nails Inc Diamond Arcade Nail Jewellery.

The accent nails are quite interesting as the glitter effect over such a pale shade of pink is quite subtle and just tends to catch the light.  It’s very pretty and I really like the effect.

I finished, as usual, with a coat of Nails Inc Kensington Caviar and the proof is is in the pudding as I did this NOTD last Thursday but didn’t have a chance to take any pictures until today (Tuesday), so you can see that  it’s worn really well.  There’s a little bit of wear on the tips and annoyingly there’s a crack on one nail, but all-in-all they’re still looking neat.

I love the contrast of the blue/silver glitter against the pink in the accent nail as I think the result is really pretty.  I’ve enjoyed having girly nails again for a few days so I’ll definitely be including more pink in my future NOTDs.
