Vaseline are about to launch a new, limited edition flavour of their cult Lip Therapy. A few of us beauty bloggers were asked to come up with a new design for the tin, so I thought I’d give it a go. Sadly, I’m much more of a creative thinker than a creative doer, so whilst my ideas were certainly free-flowing, the practical side didn’t develop quite as well as I’d have liked…
However, I decided I wanted to try and go against the grain and avoid anything too girly. We were supplied with various bits and bobs to decorate our blank tins with, such as glitter (yay!), pink studs, bows, ribbons etc. My instinct was to go super girly, but then I thought I might as well try something a bit different, so here are the before and after pictures:

It’s worth mentioning at this point that if I were to win this challenge (when hell freezes over…) then I’d be able to offer a trip to Paris to one of my blog readers. It’s one hell of a prize, which is why I didn’t give up on the challenge, even when my fingers were glued together in a black, glittery mess for the third time in less than 10 minutes.
We weren’t told the flavour of the new Lip Therapy, instead we were supplied with clues which included a candle, a box of champagne chocolates and a balloon:
Having had a good sniff of the balm for the last time before I accidentally glued the tin permanently shut (I’m really not cut out for this craft malarkey) I picked up a slightly fruity, cocktailly scent which in my head, combined with the clues, leans towards a champagne cocktail. Therefore, my guess for the new limited edition flavour is:
Today there are 100 of these Limited Edition tins available in a flash sale on Facebook here: www.facebook.com/vaseline and the new Vaseline Limited Edition Lip Therapy will be available at Selfridges from 5th September.
Speaking of limited edition flavours, are there any that you’d like to see Vaseline release? My personal choices would be Raspberry (yes, I’m still weirdly infatuated with the idea of raspberry lipbalm) and Candyfloss as I quite like the idea of candyfloss flavoured lips.
Disclosure: all things mentioned provided for the benefit of this review other than my ineptness for crafts; that’s home-grown.
I’ve always wanted a mince pie flavoured lip balm. I’d be quite happy to make it myself if I only knew how.
Oooo! That sounds kind of interesting; I love mince pies so I think I’d quite like that xx
