So I’m back – far sooner than I’d like – from my holiday and, as is often the case on holiday, I’ve had lots of time to ponder and have come up with some interesting thoughts (well I think so anyway!) that I’ll be writing about soon in relation to body image. However, whilst I was away I received a press release regarding a survey that was conducted by Arbonne with 1000 women and what they think makes a woman beautiful. Here are the top 20:
- Kindness
- Great smile
- Sense of humour
- Nice manners
- Compassion
- Confidence
- Intelligence
- Bright eyes
- Unselfish
- Flawless skin
- Smiles a lot
- Good with children
- Nice hairstyle
- Smells good
- Charitable
- Soft skin
- Long eyelashes
- Manicured nails
- Funny laugh
- Pedicured feet
In my opinion, a lot of women pay far more attention of what other women think of them rather than men – especially with regards to how we dress – so I think it’s quite charming to see these results that aren’t fully focused on aesthetics and a looks-based mention doesn’t come in until number eight!
Hey Sascha, great blog and article! The list you mentioned above is absolutely right, and all beautiful women have the above characteristics. Which of the above do you think you’ve got? 🙂
It’s a great list isn’t it? I was really impressed with the results….when I was away the release came through so I read it to my mum; she reckons I have most, I reckon about half 😀 Certainly “flawless skin” is something I sadly do not possess! Which do you think you have? xx
