I recently received the Butter London Cuticle Miracle Kit which contains 2 products: the Melt Away Cuticle Eliminator and the Handbag Holiday Cuticle Oil. I’m absolutely rubbish at cuticle maintenance and I’ve made it my mission to try and improve the way I treat them at home rather than paying a professional to sort them out for me, so I was really pleased to receive this kit, especially as it’s incredibly effective.
The Melt Away Cuticle Eliminator works by gently breaking down the dead skin so that it’s easily to remove. You leave it on for two minutes before pushing the cuticles down, then you use a nail brush to remove any surplus cuticle. This stuff really works! One one nail I used it on the skin behind the nail (not on purpose, obviously) and the skin there started to soften and peel which is astonishing, so my advice with this is apply it carefully. If you do, it’s amazing and an absolute dream if you’re prone to rough and unruly cuticles like me.
Next up is the Handbag Holiday Cuticle Oil which, as the name suggests, is a travel-friendly cuticle oil which you apply as you would any other cuticle oil, by applying a drop or two to each cuticle and working it in. This absorbs surprisingly quickly for an oil treatment and the thin brush applicator makes precision nice and easy.

Both bottles are so pretty and manage to look both premium and cute at the same time. You pull of the lid and underneath is a screw top with the brush attached. I like this design as I think the larger lid would make application a bit clunky, so the fact that the inner lid is smaller makes it much easier to grip.

Unfortunately I didn’t take any before and after pictures, so instead I’ve included a picture of my most recent NOTD and the one before that. It’s worth noting that my cuticles were even worse than the before picture by the time I started using this kit, so it’s made quite a difference! If anybody wants to see some before and after pictures with bare nails, let me know and I’ll post them next time I use the kit.
My cuticles are still very much a work in progress, but they’ve come on leaps and bounds since I’ve started using this kit so I definitely recommend it if you’re looking for cuticle fixers that are easy to use, pretty to look at and seriously effective.
