This time last year I had only been blogging for a few months, so I thought I’d check out the Christmas post I wrote to see if anything has changed. Obviously lots has, but the enthusiasm and love for blogging still remains which is wonderful to see, especially considering I’m usually the type to get really excited by something and then lose interest quite quickly…I think I’ve finally found something I love and that’s writing about beauty!
I had no idea my blog would become such a huge part of my life (otherwise I would’ve finished my MA first before starting it!!) but I wouldn’t change a thing and I’m so excited that I’ve now finally finished my MA. Those of you who are in touch with me regularly will know that I have been delaying it and delaying it because I literally couldn’t find the time, but last Friday I finally completed in my final dissertation, so it’s all done….I honestly never thought I’d get there so I’m so relieved and it means that I can now focus on blogging more which is something I’ve wanted to do for quite some time.
Therefore, in the new year there will be a couple of changes. Firstly, I’ll be monetising the blog a bit more by selling advertising space. This is to allow me to invest more in the blog and pay for the costs such as hosting the blog (I’m moving to WordPress shortly), picture hosting and I’m also having the blog redesigned again by the lovely Faye from Girl Does Geek, so keep an eye out for the new look soon!
I’ll be giving myself a bit of time off over the next few weeks so I won’t be blogging daily again until probably the new year; it’ll just be nice to indulge in some “me time” as I’ve been running on empty for a while now…
Thank you so, so much for all your visits, comments and messages throughout the last year. It’s a cliche, but the blog really has changed my life and that wouldn’t have happened without you guys, so thank you so much.
