It’s a safe assumption that finding beautiful gifts for girls is a helluva’ lot easier than doing the same for boys, since there are a multitude of gorgeous, girly products that have been given the Valentines spin for this year. Here are a few of my favourites:
Bobbi Brown Pink & Red Collection
Sadly, this new collection from Bobbi Brown got my heart fluttering faster than any man has done recently (le sigh) but it was inevitably considering it’s from Bobbi Brown and it contains so much pink! There are pink and red variants of the Sheer Colour Cheek Tint (I’m really happy to see this in lipstick-style packaging again), Sheer Lip Gloss, Nail Polish and Creamy Matte Lip colour, all of which are limited edition shades. I want them all. Prices start at at £11 for the nail polish and can be found here.
Hair Treatment Voucher
This is the first of two vouchers I’ll be mentioning in this list, mainly because I like the idea of receiving a gift where I can choose my own treatment or experience. Nothing says “treat” more than a voucher for a treatment at a top salon so it’s the sort of present that I think can only be well received and a lot of salons will pretty-up the packaging to make the voucher more gift-like. Daniel Galvin currently have a Valentines special available only on the day itself where you receive a Romantic Waves style, a head massage and a detox for £26 to get you ready for whatever you have planned for the evening. More info can be found here.
Aveda Love Pure-Fume Absolute*
This is a scent that screams “love”; it’s deep, sensual and woody and the sort of scent that I think men would instantly be drawn to if they smelled it on a woman. It also comes in a dinky little rollerball applicator making this a gorgeous gift for girls. It’s definitely what I’d call a night scent rather than a day scent. It costs £21 and is available here.
Pampering Voucher
As I said above, I enjoy the idea of picking my own treats to enjoy so a pampering voucher that I could make use of when I’m ready makes for such a wonderful gift that doesn’t need to cost a fortune. You can get pampering vouchers all over the place, for example, Wahanda and Groupon usually have some good ones going and LastMinute always have specials running, so it’s definitely worth having a look around to see what you can find.
Beauty Box Subscription
It’s a bit of a gift that keeps on giving; a beauty box subscription would make such a lovely gift for anyone who’s a beauty fanatic as receiving a monthly beauty box full of new bits and bobs to try is exciting and is something to look forward to. You can usually make a bit of a saving if you pay for a few months up front too and the two biggest players are Glossybox and BirchBox.
RIGHT. I think that’s about all I’ll be saying about V.day this year (unless something of real interest arrives in my inbox) so I hope you have a great one and enjoy however you spend it 🙂 xx
