…and now back to beauty! GOSH have some gorgeous things launching for spring 2013, several of which I’m extremely excited about.
The three key launches are the BB Skin Perfecting Kits, the Growth Mascara and the Growth Serum, however, what I’m most excited about are the new Ultimate Eyeliners and the new shades of the Velvet Touch Eyeliner. There are also six gorgeous new shades of varnish to lust after without a pastel in sight.
BB Skin Perfecting Kit
This fabulous little kit contains 2 shades of concealer and 1 shade of highlighter and is available in two variants; Light and Medium. The texture of all three elements is surprisingly creamy, making it ideal for both blemishes and under the eyes, although you might want to tread carefully under the eyes if you’re prone to dryness. These kits can also be used for contouring making them a pretty savvy investment at £9.99.
Growth Mascara and Growth Serum
These are both treatment products for lashes, although obviously only the mascara is a make-up product too. They can be purchased individually and the idea is that you use the mascara in the morning and the serum at night, although obviously if you don’t want to buy both you could just use the serum both morning and evening. Both products are designed to promote hair growth and lash thickness making these, I believe, the cheapest lash-boosters currently available at £8.49 for the mascara and £14.99 for the serum.
The Ultimate Eyeliners
Here are the first of the products I’m really excited about as the attention to detail is spot-on. The twist-up liner comes complete with a rubber smudging end and a rubberised handle surrounding the pen itself, making defining eyes extremely easy and virtually foolproof.
Not only that, but the texture is wonderfully creamy, meaning you can really get a good smudge…but you’ll need to act quickly as once set, these are apparently extremely long-wearing. So the name “The Ultimate Eyeliner” makes sense!
There are currently three colour choices available: Back in Black, Raw Grey and Kind of Blue, and I’m surprised to say that Kind of Blue really appeals due to it’s deep, navy finish. These are £5.99.
Velvet Touch Eyeliners
There are two new shades being added to the Velvet Touch Eyeliner collection; Fashionista and Renaissance Gold. Renaissance Gold is a brilliantly metallic finish that I cannot wait to build up to a thick line whilst adding a thinner black line for definition.
Again, the product itself is creamy with great slip and the colour payoff is impressive. These are £4.99.
Nail Lacquers
There are six new shades for spring: Tropicana, Tilted Blue, Venus, High School Flirt, Greed and Girls on Film. Even though I admire GOSH’s idea to go against traditional spring hues and instead create vibrant, bold shades for their spring collection, I wouldn’t say anything jumps out at me as shades that I immediately love. Nonetheless, I’m excited to try the Navy shade and I do like the look of the pink glitter too. These are £4.99.
As you can see, there are some real treasures to be found in GOSH’s spring collection, all of which are well formulated and reasonably priced. I’m so impressed with the eyeliners as my liner collection mostly consists of high-end products, yet these are definitely just as good as them and definitely worth checking out if you’re a liner fan. These are supposed to launch on 13th March 2013 (day before my birthday…just putting it out there so you can get your Interflora orders in on time…) but a few items seem to be available online at Superdrug now.
