More chubby-style lip crayons today, and if you think this is the last of them then steady yourself, as after these I have TWO MORE brands of chubbiness to show you before I do a rundown post of my favourites. It’s chubby madness, I tell you. Today’s chubby-madness comes in the form of Boots No7 High Shine Lip Crayons.
No7 High Shine Lip Crayons follow the standard chubby styling of being twist-up crayons containing a lipstick/lipgloss/lipbalm hybrid in a selection of five different colours that cover a good spectrum. These are slightly more reasonably priced than competitors at £9 a pop, and considering they’re No7 products, that price can no doubt be bettered during one of Boots’ many promotional periods.
The two shades I have are Berry and Delicate Pink. Berry is quite an interesting shade as it’s quite “wine-like” in finish and leans a lot more red than berry shades typically do, meaning it’ll be an awesome shade to have around this AW due to red-leaning berry shades being popular then. As is oh-so predictable, my pick of the shades is Delicate Pink.
Delicate Pink looks like it’s going to be a lot more peach in tone than it translates on skin and lips. It’s a beauty of a pink: soft, easy to wear, flattering and girly; all the things a good pink should be. Team that with the glossy finish and balm-like texture and you have yourself a pink that I’m sure would suit most people.
Both shades are buildable and wearable and I’d say these are really good investment shades if you can’t quite bring yourself to spend double digits on the leading competitors. £9 is a really good price for these No7 High Shine Lip Crayons, and as there’s currently a buy one get one half price on No7 products, if you fancy a mini-binge then now is the time.
