I have another varnish to show you and it’s an absolute beaut that goes by the name of Orly Gorgeous. I had the same issue with this as I did with Melodious Utopia in that it looks quite different in the bottle to how it does on the nails.
I was expecting a heavily blue-leaning, murky, metallic purple shade, but instead I was greeted with this glorious magenta that I absolutely love; in this case it proves that you shouldn’t judge a book by it’s cover, but then I think most people buy nail varnishes on the basis of how it looks in the bottle don’t they?
Orly Gorgeous is the perfect name for this shade as it really is a stunner. It’s a strong, bright, feminine yet grown-up shade of purpley pink that I’m so in love with at the moment and I can see this being my summer nail shade. I love bright colours but I often find myself limited to the neons to achieve that ‘wow’ factor, but Gorgeous definitely fills that spot easily.
It’s almost a bit duo-chrome in certain lights as the blue comes forward at the right angle, but it’s mostly just a vivid and beautiful magenta shade that I really do love.
An ideal shade for toes and fingers, Orly Gorgeous is available now and you can purchase it from Beauty Bay for £7.50.
