Macadamia Natural Oil Flawless

June 30, 2013 · In: Hair Care, Reviews

Macadamia Natural Oil Flawless

When offered the chance to review Macadamia Natural Oil Flawless I absolutely had to find out what it was all about as, to my knowledge, there isn’t anything else on the market quite like it.  The product itself is called Flawless (the brand name being Macadamia Natural Oil) and the idea is that it kind of fills the void of a 2in1 shampoo/conditioner,  however, the emphasis is on the conditioning element, whereas normal 2in1’s tend to focus on cleansing the hair with a few conditioning elements thrown in for good measure.

It’s a really interesting product! It’s a mousse that you work into dry/damp hair (just damp enough to move the product around – if you’re able to do that on completely dry hair then all the better) which you then leave for a few minutes before rinsing it out.  I’ve used it when getting ready for a shower, then by the time I’m in the shower it’s ready to be rinsed out.

It’s an effective cleanser and conditioner and hair is left feeling clean and soft.  I wouldn’t say it’s neither better nor worse than using more traditional shampoo/conditioner sets, but it does have it’s advantages depending on what you want from your products.  If you’re pushed for time, this does work out wonderfully as you can bung it on whilst you’re doing your teeth and then jump into the shower, which will save you quite a bit of time as all you’ll be doing in the shower is rinsing it out rather than shampooing, rinsing, conditioning, waiting and rinsing, so it’s a definite time-saver in that regard.  It also cuts down the time needed to dry hair – albeit marginally – but most importantly I could get away with 2 full days without washing my hair without a trace of grease.  Normally I need to wash my hair every other day, so this proves that it’s a very effective cleanser as well as a conditioner.

This retails for £25.75.  I think if it were more reasonably priced I’d be more inclined to rave about it as it doesn’t exactly what it promises.  The problem for me, is that for that price I’m expecting to have all of the above promises fulfilled, plus gleaming, shining, bouncy hair too.  This is a very effective, time-saving product but for me it’s a little too expensive for what it is.  However, if you’re in need of cutting down your shower time then it’s a good product to invest in.  Available from the Macadamia Natural Oil site.
