Both my mother and myself have been long term fans of John Frieda’s volume products, as not only do they work really well on fine hair, they’re also incredibly purse-friendly. Therefore I was extremely keen to get my hands on some of the new volume products from John Frieda, the name of which is called Luxurious Volume.
There are seven new products in total, and I was sent two to play with. I’m a sucker for a dry shampoo as I really don’t like washing my hair unless it’s absolutely necessary as it’s a lot of faff with the drying and the washing etc, so a good dry shampoo is a friend of mine. I tend not to get on too well with the most popular brands, and have instead found favour with less well known ones.
The John Frieda Volume Refresh Dry Shampoo is designed to revive volume and add a little texture, as well as absorb excess oils. It’s a very effective reviving product as it does leave hair looking a lot cleaner and less greasy and is especially useful for adding a bit of hold to slippery, newly-washed hair if you’re trying to wear it up. It’s also got a lovely fresh smell and is thankfully easy to work with; it sprays well and brushes out easily. I wouldn’t say my mind was blown by this, but it’s definitely a good product, and in fairness it’s pretty faultless, plus at £5.89 it’s a good quality and well priced product that will suit fine haired girls looking for a bit of a boost between washes.
