It’s safe to say that if you’re going to use a product like cleansing wipes to treat your skin, you want them to come from the best, and Dr Murad products have an amazing reputation for fighting spots. Therefore, when the opportunity arose to try the new Murad Clarifying Wipes, I thought I’d give them a go even though I’m generally quite anti-wipes and definitely do not recommend them as part of a regular skincare routine!
The Murad Clarifying Wipes are quite small but just the right size to remove facial make-up. They’re very strong, so I don’t recommend using them for eye make-up removal, and I wasn’t willing to give it a go to prove myself wrong or right…The active ingredients are Witch Hazel (for oil control), Algae extract (to regulate sebum production) as well as vitamin E and grape seed extract to protect from free radical damage. They smell strongly of Witch Hazel, so if you’re not a fan of that smell then you won’t like these.
Very, very rarely, I’ll not be able to handle anything skincare related, and so will just want to do as little as possible before passing out in bed. Sometimes I’ll meet myself halfway and use a couple of basic products, other times I know I’m fighting a losing battle, so that’s when the wipes come out. These Murad Clarifying Wipes are, in my mind, as close as you can get to a treatment wipe as they really do feel like they’re leaving a treatment on the skin, which is what you want if you’re trying to battle spots. They are expensive at £18, but I do think they’re a great investment if you’re spot-prone and tend to have the occasional lazy day as they’re packed full of goodies that you just won’t find in bog-standard wipes. My lazy double cleanse involves full make-up removal with Simple wipes, followed by one of these before passing out in bed, feeling considerably less guilty than I would if I hadn’t at least made some skincare effort! These are available now for £18 for 30 from Murad.
