I do so enjoy some of the wackier things that land in my inbox, and this is one that I’m more than happy to share; Eau de Toast. Seriously, it’s a toast-scented perfume brought to us by The Federation of Bakers who commissioned The Aroma Company to create a scent that evoked the scent of freshly toasted bread. Ladies and gents, I give you Eau de Toast…
Thing is, I kind of understand the reasoning behind the creation of this fragrance, even if it is a tad from left field. It’s a statement perfume (stay with me…) designed to challenge the perception that bread is an unhealthy food. Bread seems to be one of the main scapegoats for putting on weight, and I think this is mainly because the term ‘bread’ is often an umbrella for all things carby and cakey. Eau de Toast is here to remind us that toast is a snack/breakfast product that smells as good as it tastes and, if eaten in moderation as part of a healthy diet, really isn’t the devil’s food.
There are 100 bottles of EDToast available on a first come, first served basis, so if you fancy your own little toasty scent, head here and sign up.
Oh this is funny! It reminds me of all the Demeter crazy smells but I guess it could be nice to use in a kitchen just before people come to visit if one wants to sell their house! To make it seem homy! 🙂
