With contouring becoming extremely popular recently, I was excited to try one of the glo minerals Blush Duos, as each one contains perfectly complimenting shades that don’t fall into the usual contouring spectrum of various skin shades of brown, bronze and nude. I’ve always preferred to contour with colours that work with the blushers I use, and being a big pink blush fan, the Petunia shade seemed ideal.
I’ll warn you now, the Blush Duo is absolutely teeny tiny! However, the colour payoff is pretty intense so you don’t need a lot of this per each use. It also blends like a dream making it not only an ideal contour product, but a great all round blush as well; obviously you don’t have to use this for contouring and can instead just make the most of having two different blush shades in one compact.
Speaking of compact, the powders come in a dinky little mirrored compact which is quite sturdy, although I wouldn’t throw it about too much. The shades themselves are variants of pink; with a good, solid baby/pale pink (think slightly darker than Illamasqua’s Katie, but not much!) and a deeper dark rose/berry shade. Both of these colours are flattering on my pale skin and both blend beautifully. I’m not one for big, statement make-up on a daily basis, and prefer to go for subtle enhancement, so Petunia is ideal for this as it does exactly that. Hopefully you can see what I mean in the images; you can see cheekbones rather than make-up, but obviously this is a matter of personal taste and if you want to build up the colour, it’s very easy to do. I really like this Blush Duo; it’s currently my favourite way to contour so I will continue to use it whenever I need to chisel out some cheekbones! glo minerals Blush Duo in Petunia is available now priced at £15.50.
