I’ve been meaning to share my thoughts on this infamous and cult product for ages, but have only now got around to it. Seche Vite Dry Fast Top Coat is widely touted as the absolute best top coat available on the market, and beauty bloggers especially rave about it; so when I saw it in my local Boots store I decided to pick up my own bottle.
The course of true love never did run smooth, and it took me a while to get what everyone was so excited about with regards to the effectiveness of this top coat. I’ve been a long-term committed fan of Nails Inc Kensington Caviar so when I first used Seche Vite Dry Fast Top Coat I was expecting a lot. What I got was a top coat that took ages to dry and the finish was gloopy. That was the first time I used it and obviously it got swiftly packed away.
I tried using it again a few months ago and clearly I had applied it too thickly the first time as I instantly fell in love this time around. Firstly, a thin coat on top of any varnish shade will leave the glossiest, smoothest finish you could possibly find without going down the gel manicure route (I wore this over Nails Inc Mali-Woo-Woo and people thought it was a gel manicure), secondly, it speeds up the drying process like nothing I’ve tried before, but lastly, and possibly most importantly, it makes manicures and pedicures really last the distance. I would say it adds a good few days to the typical longevity of my manicures, and for £9 this is one product that I will buy again and again; I even take it to the manicurist with me so that they use it in place of their top coat, as it really is the best. If you haven’t tried it, do it now! Available from Boots for £9. I’ve also seen it for a lot less on eBay but obviously I have no idea how genuine the product is.
I kept seeing this name on beauty blogs, but knew nothing of the brand or why it’s popular. You’ve explained the mystery now and I can check my Boots out for this!

Oh fab, glad to be of use! They do some lovely polish shades too, but I think they’ll always be most famous for their top coat xx
