To me, Sisley are one of those brands who create make-up to be lusted after. Not only do the products look tear-jerkingly stunning (just me? Honestly, I could just stare at some of them for hours), they also deliver a finish that can only be described as luxurious; when you use it, the payoff is expensive-looking and the new Sisley L’Orchidee Rose Highlighting Blusher is the perfect example of this.
The powder arrives in a weighty, silver case that feels solid without being too clunky. The attention to detail in the powder itself is quite something as the orchid design is just beautiful; the fuchsia and mottled dusky pink leaves sit on a pop of rose backdrop that will have any pink fan sighing with contentment as this is very much pink art for grown-ups to enjoy. Depressingly, I had to swatch this, as I would’ve been quite happy to just frame this and hang it next to my bed, and I will admit that I was a bit worried it might be a tad on the sparkly side considering how brilliant it looks in the palette.
Thankfully that wasn’t the case, and rather than full-blown sparkle, there’s a hint of silver that stops the finish being too powdery or chalky, so instead you’re left with a pink that I feel is most suited to paler, cooler skin tones, but I may be wrong. It’s very much my sort of pink that adds a brilliant hit of colour without being too OTT. It’s also worth noting that it buffs into the skin like an absolute dream, meaning you can build it up quite a bit whilst still maintaining that ethereal finish. A luxury item comes with a luxury price tag, and at £62 there’s no way I can state this to be a must-have product, but if you have the funds available and love to invest in glorious, timeless make-up that will lift your spirits each time you use it, this is the product for you. Sisley L’Orchidee Rose Highlighting Blusher is available now.
