Avon recently launched a number of new products that form The Luxe Collection, which is designed to be aesthetically luxury without the usual price-tag. Included in the collection are lipglosses, lipsticks, eyeshadow palettes, liquid liner, mascara, foundation and a shimmer powder, the latter of which I predict to be the most popular out of the launches.
I haven’t had a chance to fully review the products I have from the collection, but I will give my thoughts on each item. I think the most popular product other than the shimmer powder will be the eyeshadow palettes as they’ve got some pretty fab colour combinations of which I have the variant called “Black Tie”:
This is such an awesome edit; the two taupey shades on the bottom left corner are really interesting as one has kind of blue flecks and one has pink flecks which gives them a subtle bit of definition that I really like. You can’t really see this in my pictures but I will upload swatches when back from baby leave. There are six different shade edits available, all of which contain 5 eyeshadows, a brush and a mirrored compact for £10 – link.
I wasn’t holding out much hope for the Silken Foundation considering I have pretty high standards for the base products I use and I do need a lot of coverage, and whilst I wouldn’t say I’ve had my mind changed on this one, it is certainly better than I thought it would be. It offers light to medium dewy coverage that I think those who like a ‘healthy skin’ finish will really like. Rather disappointingly there are only five shades, but an SPF20 is included and the pump dispenser is pretty good. Currently on offer down from £14 to £10 – link.
The Couture Cream Lipgloss just doesn’t interest me at all to be honest. I don’t like the packaging and I haven’t found myself eager to give it a go; very unfair, I’ll grant you, and if I get around to trying it at some point then I’ll let you know how I get on. I do however quite like the look of some of the shades, but probably not enough to investigate further. Also currently on offer down from £8 to £6 – link.
Saving the best ’til last, the Glitz Shimmer Powder is a seriously pretty bit of kit that punches well above its price tag. Aesthetically it’s got a Lauder vibe about it and the product itself is subtle, glowy and stays well away from glitter making it perfect for all skin types, but especially oily as it shouldn’t show up any issues and will instead give that diffused, lit-from-within look. This is absolutely my pick of the launches and it’s currently down from £12 to £10 – link.

The compact is adorable and really does give a Luxe feeling, nice review! Xx

We used to have Avon reps in Ireland, but recently all Avon operations were pulled out of Ireland. I wasn’t a great fan of their make up,but I ordered lots of other little items and always supported their awareness campaign. The new luxe range looks interesting, but I won’t be purchasing any of it because I thought their reps here were shodily treated by Avon.
