Clarins are doing some awesome things with make-up lately, giving them skincare elements so that the products become multi-functional making them extremely good value and thankfully very effective to boot. I’m still depending on Clarins Be Long Mascara to give my crazy pregnancy lashes definition, and now the Clarins Instant Concealer has found its way into my daily use bag, due to the fact that it delivers on its promises and is extremely easy to work with, which is what I desperately need at the moment!
Clarins Instant Concealer is a liquid concealer designed to not only smooth and brighten the under-eye area, but it also contains aloe and green coffee which work to actually boost the area and maintain the initial cosmetic effects throughout the day. On application, it thankfully doesn’t feel zingy (which I personally don’t do well with in eye products as for me they always feel less ‘zingy’ and more ‘sting-y’!) instead it just feels light and cooling. The shade I was sent is 01 which is a yellowy-beige and perfect for my skin tone. Because this is such a fluid product, if you apply too much you will end up with it sinking into fine lines, but that will happen immediately rather than over time, so it’s an application issue rather than a flaw in the product; you actually only need a tiny amount as this spreads brilliantly and contains a surprisingly high level of pigmentation, making it perfect for the under eye area.
I do try and find at least one flaw with every product although whist I’m struggling with this one, I would like to see more shades added as the three that form the shade range will not cover all skin tones; the other two being pinky-beige and orange-beige. The thing that I like best about this product is how little you need to effectively mask signs of tiredness and brighten the whole eye area, which I think makes it a great buy at £20 for 15 ml from here – link.

Good review! I like eye products that contain coffee since it usually gives such a nice boost. Xx
