I only became familiar with Melvita thanks to Jane at BBB who raved about the brand, then a few months ago I got a chance to try a couple of products and I’ve been hugely impressed ever since! Melvita make gloriously gentle yet effective skincare products, and have built a cult following for both their Micellar Waters and their Floral Waters, so if you like your skincare kindly formulated and beautifully fragranced then Melvita is a range worth checking out.
I wanted to give you a heads-up on the range of Melvita oils which is vast – there’s one for every skin type you can think of – as well as reasonably priced and complimentary to the rest of their range. I’m a big fan of using oils on oily skin as I find it can often result in less oil production, especially for those who’s skin is producing more oil as reaction to dryness which is often the case with oily skinned people who tend to start a vicious cycle by stripping their skin, which then reacts by producing more oil and so on and so forth. Jojoba oil is amazing for this as it’s a very similar composition to the natural oils our skin creates, so it’s a good one to trick skin like mine into believing it’s produced enough oil.
Most of the oils in the range are designed for use on face and body, and examples include Lily oil which boosts radiance in dry skin, Avocado oil to boost moisture in damaged skin (also great around the eyes) and Apricot Kernel oil which repairs the moisture barrier. These are on top of the usual Argan oil and Rosehip oil, plus there’s also a range of three roll-on Argan oils for targeted treatment. All oils are available now priced from £14.50 – £23. The roll-ons are between £11 – £12.50. For more info head to Melvita online here – link.
