The Body Shop Colour Crush Shine Lipsticks are beautifully, buttery lip colours with surprisingly strong pigment that can be applied sheerly for a hint of colour or built-up for a stronger pop, making them very versatile. They’re really creamy and nail that ‘tinted lip balm’ feel on the lips, which is something I personally really like.
There are three shades launching, all with pink undertones: Fuchsia Flirt – a fairly neutral, bright pink; Sunset Romance – a peachy pink and Magenta Be Rouge – a blue toned pink that’s very similar to Fuchsia Flirt other than the slightly more blue tones.
I honestly can’t pick a leading favourite as they’re all up my street (because they’re all pink, obvs) but Sunset Romance is a little less typical for me which is why I’ve been wearing it more than the others. My mum loves a buttery Fuchsia so she swiped Magenta Be Rouge pretty much immediately after the included pictures were taken. There’s nothing amazing innovative in these lipsticks, but they are nourishing, comfortable, pretty and well-presented so I really hope they add some new shades soon; I’m hoping for a lighter baby pink which will look gorgeous in this creamy formula. The Body Shop Colour Crush Shine Lipsticks arrive on the 15th April 2014 instore and online for £10 a pop.
