The focus of the collection – as the name suggests – is denim themed, so the polishes are a sandy texture in either literal denim shades or brights that work well with denim. The four new shades of polish are Indigo Classique (a typical denim navy shade), Azor Salopette (pale lilac/blue), Bermuda Rose (bright orange leaning pink) and lastly Jean & Tonic (a pale and very pretty salmon pink).
The new lip products are Glam Matte which are really interesting matte lipglosses that provide extremely saturated colour with the typical drying effects of matte finishes. There are four shades in total Fuchsia Flare (brilliant, bright pink), Coral Deminista (coral leaning pink), Cherry Crop (a true cherry red…I realise that’s obvious but it doesn’t hurt to state it as you never know) and Zip It Red (a blue-leaning, deeper red). Zip It Red is frickin’ awesome and the shade I took away with me. The best thing about these is that they work beautifully as smooshed in stains as well as brilliantly opaque hits of colour and Fuchsia Flare is definitely on my wish list. Keep your eyes peeled for my review of Zip It Red soon.
Lastly there are two new shades of Superliner Perfect Slim; a very denim blue and green, both of which are easy, murky shades that are hints of colour rather than bright pops which I personally love as the result is very wearable colours that I think would suit most people. If you haven’t tried Perfect Slim then I strongly recommend you give it a go as it’s an amazing liner for anyone who struggles with eye-lining. I have the Green shade which works really well against my blue eyes, but they’re both the sort of shades that catch the light rather than scream colour.
The L’Oreal Miss Denim Collection launches in May 2014. The Miss Denim Nail polishes will be £4.99 each, the Glam Matte Lipglosses will be £7.99 and the Superliners will be £6.99. I’ll be posting more about the lip and nail products soon.
