One of my favourite ways to cleanse is with a hot cloth cleanser. It takes a bit more effort than a wipe-off cleanser, but the extra sensory benefits are worth it as you really do feel like you’re doing good things to your skin. If you’re unfamiliar, the process is pretty standard; you apply the cleanser and massage it over the face for a couple of minutes, you then soak the cloth in hot water (not too hot though as you don’t want to burn your face) and buff away both the cleanser and all the badies it’s removed – like make-up and dirt – until all the cleanser is washed off. You can repeat this step if you wear heavy make-up or prefer to double cleanse.
The Ren Rosa Centifolia Hot Cloth Cleanser is absolutely gorgeous to use. The product itself is a creamy, rich and nourishing formula that smells and feels divine. It’s nice and thick so you can really work it into the skin, but it’s also gentle enough for use around the eyes. I’d say it’s suitable for pretty much all skin types as it left my skin feeling very balanced; my oily patches were cleansed and my dry patches were nourished. I’m extremely happy that the cloth included is more of a flannel style cloth as I find these retain heat more effectively which opens up the pores so I feel like my skin is being more thoroughly cleansed than with the use of a muslin cloth. All-in-all I really, really rate this lovely cleanser, so if you’re on the hunt for a new hot cloth cleanser then this is the one for you.
