I was so excited when I heard about these new arrivals from Lancome; lipglosses that promise hydration, colour and gloss and available in EIGHTEEN different takes on pink, how could I possibly not get excited about the Lancome Lip Lovers? For some reason I keep wanting to call them “Lancome Lovely Lips” so I don’t know what that’s about.
First up, I absolutely love the packaging which have a push button to gently release the lipgloss brush which itself has a lovely, soft sponge applicator. They’re also really feminine and pretty to look at; they’re just a lovely way to do lipgloss, don’t you think? Top that with soooo many amazing shades of pink that I struggled to pick the ones I wanted, but I eventually settled for Rose d’eau which appears as a light, girly pink and Rose attrape couer, a more coral-leaning pink.
Unfortunately the gorgeous packaging and joyful shade range is where the fun ends for me as I didn’t get on with these liglosses at all. They supply a very subtle hint of colour which is fine for most I’m sure, but I have extremely pigmented lips which means that both shades were barely visible on the lips; especially Rose d’eau which just looked like a clear lipgloss on. Rose attrape couer was slightly better and at least added some pigment, but it was quite weak so not something I find myself ever reaching for, sadly.
If you’re a fan of really gentle, barely there hints of colour then you might want to try these, but I’d personally recommend a tinted lip balm from the high street which will provide gloss, hydration and a hint of colour – pretty much what these promise to deliver but for a much smaller price. The Lancome Lip Lovers are £18 each and available here – link.

looks ok for gloss..
It is if you like a really mild hit of colour, but I think that can be achieved with most glosses if you sheer them out, whereas you can’t really build these up xx
Hi Sascha, I literaly just wrote a draft on my thoughts on these yesterday-I am not a big fan either. I couldn’t get even colour at all with them and they really clung to dry patches.

Thanks Stacey, such a shame isn’t it? Especially as I was lusting after these for quite a while so it was a mega disappointment 🙁 xx
