Zoya SS14 Shades: Kirtridge and Harper

Zoya have released their SS14 collection and it contains some real gems.  There are three collections within the seasonal launch, Bubbly – dense and fairly full coverage holographic glitter in six shades (Staasi – green, Muse – blue, Binx – light purple, Harper – mid pink, Alma – orange and Jesy – peach); Tickled which are the demi-matte/cream full coverage colours (Tilda – green, Ling – blue, Rooney – deep pink, Kirtridge – bubblegum pink, Wendy – coral pink and Rocha – red) and lastly the three new colours of the *gorgeous* Magical Pixi Dust which are rich, shimmery shades Bar – champagne, Arlo – purple and Ginni – pink.

There are 15 shades in total and the colours I’m most excited about are Ling, Kirtridge, Bar and Ginni.  I don’t know why bright greens are so in this season but apparently they are and Zoya has it covered with Staasi and Tilda.  The brilliant blues and pinks will enhance tanned fingers and toes and I think Bar is one of those shades that everyone will love.

I was sent two of the shades to try; Kirtridge from the Tickled collection and Harper from the Bubbly collection and I’ve had a play with both.

Kirtridge is a fantastic shade of pink; it’s bright but gentle and feminine with a youthful edge.  I actually have it on both my fingers and toes at the moment and I can’t remember the last time I could say that about any shade, so it’s safe to say I’m a fan of this beautiful, bright, candy pink.

Harper is a densely packed pink glitter that is oh-so pretty.  It’s a mid pink packed full of holographic glitter that gives a lovely, sparkly finish.

Two coats of Harper give a solid, opaque finish and in the above swatches there’s two coats of Kirtridge on the left, two coats of Harper in the middle and two coats of Kirtridge followed by one coat of Harper on the right.  As you can see, applying Harper over the top of another shade doesn’t make a huge difference as it’s densely pigmented.  The full SS14 Zoya collection is available now for £11 per polish from here – link – where you can see some lovely images of the collection.
