There are quite a few new goodies from GOSH that have literally just landed today, covering all the best bits of make-up; we have new lippies, mascaras, bases, brushes, blushers, palettes, polishes and some brow fixers too, so quite a bit! Therefore I’m going to try and minimise the wordiness so this doesn’t turn into another one of my mammoth essays. Here’s a look at what’s new from GOSH:
First up are the Giant Blushes which are crayon-style stick blushers in three shades: Shy – a mocha nude; Passion – a mango shade and lastly Pin Parfait – a bright pop of pink. These are £6.99 each.
Next are the base and brush products which include the Mineral Powder and the Mineral Powder Brush. The Mineral Powder offers a medium to full coverage and comes in 4 shades; Ivory, Natural, Honey and Tan each costing £9.99. The Mineral Powder Brush is, as you might expect, designed to work alongside the Mineral Powder and costs £7.99.
There are new shades added to the awesome Velvet Touch Lipstick line, of which I’m a big fan as they provide a completely opaque finish in that ‘not too creamy, not too matte, just right’ finish. There are 8 new colours in total and these are £6.49.
The 9 Shades palettes are what I think will get people most excited as they’re lovely eyeshadow edits. There are three variants, To Enjoy in New York which is the nudes palette and my personal favourite, To Have Fun with in LA is the blues and greens and lastly To Play with in Vegas is the brights. These are very reasonably priced at £9.99.
There are two new mascaras launching, the double-ended Double Precision Mascara which gives you the choice of volume or length (or both!) and the Crazy Volume Mascara which comes with an oversized fibre brush for serious volume. The Double Precision Mascara is £7.99 and the Crazy Volume Mascara is £6.99.
The Defining Brow Gels are pretty fab, although I hope they add a lighter shade to the line-up as they’ll all be a bit too dark for me. Having said that, I’m glad they’ve included a Brown/Grey shade as ashy tones are often woefully neglected in brow products. The other two shades are Brown and Black and these are £4.99. I anticipate these to be rivals to Benefit Gimme Brow, but I won’t know for sure until I’ve got my hands on the lighter shades.
I’ve saved what I feel to be the best until last, which are the new shades of the Nail Lacquer. If you’ve had enough of the peppy summer brights then you will dig these new shades which are all grey tones. There are five new shades and they’re a new effect called Stardust which is a very fine shimmer that gives a pearl-like effect. I have the lightest shade on my nails at the moment which could do with a third coat for a more opaque finish, but I think it would look gorgeous over other shades of polish and could add new dimensions to your existing shades. Having said that, I’m quite excited to see proper swatches of the Night Sky shade which is a black mixed with the pearl-effect shimmer. These are a bargain at £3.99.
All the products are available now from GOSH online – link – and Superdrug.
