Creating your own, personalised skincare routine using online diagnostic tools has become a bit of a thing lately, so I thought I’d show you a couple of new ones that have recently launched. First up we have the Sk:n Find Your Future Face tool here – link – which is a bit of fun more than anything else, and it works by asking you a few quick questions mostly based around your lifestyle choices before suggesting various treatments or products you should use that will work to counteract any issues that your lifestyle may create. The main selling point of this tool is the fact that it will suggest treatments worth trying, so if you’re a bit of a treatment fiend then you might want to give this a go. However, I would’ve hoped for something a bit comprehensive as I fear the tool is making a lot of recommendations without taking into account various factors that are likely to become an issue with the suggestions. As I said, it’s a bit of fun that’ll give you a few ideas of new things to try.
The next one is the new The Body Shop tool here – link – which is more of a traditional skincare diagnostic tool that gives you two options to start with; an express set of questions or a more thorough set to answer. I tried out the more in-depth option and I was eventually presented with a set of skincare products to try from the store. Each question is sensible and appropriate to diagnosing skincare concerns, and I like the fact that the questionnaire is thorough and comprehensive. I really rate The Body Shop skincare, having lately tried a couple more of their most popular launches, so I’d recommend trying this tool if you’re after some affordable skincare suggestions.
