24 gorgeous, colourful shades make-up the new The Body Shop Colour Crush Nail Collection, which selected stores will start stocking today. As you’d expect from The Body Shop, these polishes are free from any nasties and are very well priced at £5 a pop. Out of the shades I was sent, I wanted to try something a bit different rather than going for my usual pink or pink-leaning, so I thought I’d have a go at Mint Cream.
I’m still pants at nail painting (but a lot less pants than I used to be, so that’s progress, people) however I can happily report that these Colour Crush polishes are lovely and easy to use. A typical 2 coats will give you a clean, opaque finish which sits wonderfully under a top coat and lasted about average.
I really love this Mint Cream shade which is named perfectly; it’s a creamy pale green that’s pretty yet something a bit different. I think it works really well against my pale skin, but I also think it would look amazing against darker skin too, so it’s a pretty universal shade that’s a good representation of the great colour collection. As part of the launch there’s also a nail art pen (£5) and a Sweet Almond Oil Nail Varnish Remover (£6) which I’ll definitely be picking up as it just sounds like it would be lovely to use. As mentioned, The Body Shop Colour Crush Nail Collection has launched into selected stores today, but it goes everywhere on the 16th September 2014, so you haven’t got long to wait if you’re not lucky enough to be near a stocked store. Head over to Jane BBB’s post here to see the full colour range.
