I remembering being introduced to the small collection of Nails Inc Gel Effect shades during my pregnancy – I believe there were only 4 shades to start with – and now there are 20 shades in total if you include the latest arrivals which are the new AW14 shades. Nails Inc are pretty on the ball with their gel shades and tend to take the crowd-pleasing approach, with juicy brights for summer and muted hues for autumn and winter.
The Nails Inc Gel Effect AW14 collection is grown-up and work-appropriate with most of the new arrivals being shades rather than full-blown colours. There are 8 new shades in total and I have 3 to show you. Old Bond Street is a deep navy shade with a hint of purple, New Oxford Street is a deep, aubergine shade and Uptown is a really interesting pink as it’s almost a cross between rose and baby without any sickliness – it’s the sort of pink you can easily wear to work without any issue.
I like the AW14 gel shades from Nails Inc although I’m not overly excited by them. They’re classics rather than radicals but there’s nothing wrong with that, and I can see myself turning to Uptown whenever I’m in need of an easy pink nail. I’m also surprised by how much I like New Oxford Street and of the shades I don’t have, I rather love the look of Hyde Park Place which is a lovely looking pale grey shade. The whole collection is available now at £14 each here – link.
